Message from the President
M&P Tool Products Inc. strives to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility. M&P Tool Products Inc. is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). This Accessibility Plan outlines the steps we are taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.
Our Accessibility Plan shows how M&P Tool Products Inc. will play its role in making Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians.
Introduction
This Accessibility Plan outlines our achievements, strategies, and actions taken to identify, prevent and remove barriers for persons with disabilities between 2023 and 2028. Our plan shows how we will play our role in making Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians. To date, we have made progress as it relates to serving individuals with disabilities. Specifically, we have advanced how we provide customer service, updated our website to meet accessibility requirements, provided accommodation for employees with disabilities, and introduced accommodation into the recruitment and hiring procedure. However, we still have work to do including, growing our accommodation program, providing accessibility training to existing employees, constructing accessible public spaces, and accomplishing our strategic priorities related to diversity and inclusion. We are working hard to fulfill our requirements.
Past achievements to remove and prevent barriers to customer service
In 2022, we implemented accommodations for employees and visitors with disabilities in our emergency evacuation plans. In 2023, we updated our accessible parking spaces and in 2024, we published our Accessibility Policy and this Accessibility Plan on our website, which addresses how we serve all customers including people with disabilities and how we have removed and will prevent barriers. The Accessibility Policy covers multiple areas including assistive devices, communication, service animals, support persons, notice of temporary disruption, training, information and communications, and employment. Moreover, M&P Tool Products Inc. welcomes feedback on how we provide accessible customer service for workplace related visits by any person(s). Feedback will help us identify barriers and respond to concerns.
Individuals will be notified of how to provide feedback in the following ways:
- In the Accessibility Policy and the Accessibility Plan, available on our website.
